Q & A
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP as soon as possible.
How many days should I plan for?
We will be hosting a welcome cocktail hour on Thursday evening (4/25/24), as well as a fun group event on Saturday (4/27/24). If you would like to attend all 3 events, please plan to arrive by Thursday early afternoon at the latest and depart on Sunday (4/28/24). Otherwise, stay for as little or as long as you'd like!
Can I bring a date?
At this time, we are only able to accommodate guests during the wedding day who have been directly invited. This means if your name is on the Save the Date and invitation envelope, you are most welcome to join us. When you RSVP you will see only the names of those invited in your party.
If you are traveling with a friend or guest, they are welcome to join us during cocktail hour on Thursday. Space is limited on Saturday, so please let us know if you'll be traveling with a guest, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Are kids welcome?
To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children below the age of 12 attend the ceremony or reception.
However, we understand that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome at the Thursday welcome cocktail and Saturday event! We will also be providing information for local babysitting services at the hotels during the wedding day if you cannot find other accommodations for them. Please reach out if you have questions!
Where should I stay?
Check out our travel section for details on where to stay, discount codes, and more information! If you have any other travel-related questions, please reach out.
How many days will you have room blocks available for?
The hotels will honor the same group discounted rate for a few days prior to and following the 3-day wedding weekend. Please reach out to the hotel directly to book your extended stay with our discount codes.
Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?
Yes! We will have complimentary shuttles to and from the wedding venue. Note shuttles will only operate to/from Sofitel & Ritz Carlton.
What should I wear?
Cocktail event:
Semi-formal, cocktail attire.
Wedding:
Black-tie. If you are wearing a suit, please refrain from wearing a bow tie as Julio and I would like to be the only ones. If you'd like to wear a dress, we strongly suggest a floor-length dress. While we do not have a required color palette for our guests, our family will be in solid, neutral colors (beige, cream, gold, or taupe). We strongly suggest avoiding bright colors :)
Xochimilco:
Casual! Jeans and a T-shirt work great.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony is outdoors and our reception will be indoors.
What will the weather be like?
The weather is generally pleasant and sunny in April, with temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to mid-70s Fahrenheit (around 20-25 degrees Celsius). While the days can be warm and sometimes humid, the evenings can get chilly so layers are suggested. In general, we suggest you check the weather app as the date gets closer for the most accurate forecast.
What if I have a dietary restriction?
Please let us know when completing the RSVP form.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes and no! We would love for you to take photos during the party and share them. However, please do not use your phones and cameras during the ceremony. We will have a team of photographers to capture the moment and will be sure to share pictures with you all!
Whom should I call with questions?
Leading up to the wedding weekend, please get in touch with either of us! Alexei can be reached at 949-501-8416 and Julio at 562-760-8442.
During the wedding weekend, our team of planners will be available onsite to help with any urgent questions or concerns.
Story
We first matched with each other on Tinder in January 2017 and planned our first date about a month later at the Cheesecake Factory.
What started as a plan to grab lunch turned into a day-long adventure, and the rest is history! Now here we are 7 years later planning our wedding.
In that time, our journey as a couple has taken us on many different paths. We've experienced so much from graduating college, adopting Harper, starting our first post-college jobs, moving to Seattle, gaining new friends, traveling around the world, and even breaking our legs.
Now we are getting ready for our next stage in life and we are so excited to have you with us on the journey.
Tidbits
How did you propose?
Julio proposed to Alexei in March 2022 in a surprise photo session by the water in Sorrento, Italy. Alexei then proposed and surprised Julio with a ring in Copenhagen, Denmark in April 2023 on a bridge in Nyhavn waterfront district.
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
Our trip to Italy takes the cake here...(IFYKYK)
What was your most memorable date?
One of our most memorable moments was the day Julio left Alexei on the platform in London. We ran to catch the train but the doors closed right behind Julio and Alexei didn't make it on so all we saw was each other slowly waving goodbye as the train sped away...

Your presence is enough of a present to us, but for those of you who would like to give a little more, pitch in towards our honeymoon fund!
